Pruning and Training Fruit Trees – March 28th 2026
Join The Fruit Tree Guy at the Duluth Folk School for Pruning and Training Fruit Trees. Do you find pruning your fruit trees to be a daunting task? It can be tricky at first to know what to cut, but with a few principles and a little practice it can go from daunting task to pleasant yearly ritual.
In this class you’ll learn the difference between training and pruning, what the different types of pruning cuts are, and when to use each. When we’re done you’ll understand how to take care of your trees to keep them healthy and productive.
Class will begin with an introduction at Duluth Folk School and then we will head over to the Denfeld Food Forest for some hands on experience.
