Triumph
Named by the University of Minnesota because it is considered a “Triumph over apple scab”, Triumph is an early-season delight prized for its blush of red, crisp bite, and mellow sweetness—perfect for growers eager for the first fresh apples of summer.
- Taste: Pleasantly tart, well balanced
- Skin & Flesh Color: Pale yellow-green skin with a rosy blush (70-90% red); creamy white, fine-textured flesh
- Harvest Season: Late September, similar to Honeycrisp
- Disease Resistance: Great resistance to scab; moderately susceptible to Cedar Apple Rust
- Best Uses: Fresh snacking, salads, children’s lunchboxes, orchard U-pick events
- Storage Life: Good, up to six months
